Byron Galvez, painter, sculptor and printmaker is a celebrated creative master. He was born in 1941 in Mexico. In 1959, he began his formal art education at the renowned National School of Art in Mexico City under the tutelage of Mexico's most acclaimed artists. Since that time Byron has been the recipient of many important awards, the focus of numerous articles, one-man and group exhibitions, and his work has become a permanent part of many public and private collections.
The Acryli-graphic printing process Byron originated produces prints on heavy handmade paper that are highly textured and hand-colored. The artist creates the acrylic plate, pulls and approves the proof, then oversees printing of the entire edition. Byron says, "I am able to create by using what has turned out to be a unique process; without losing the human touch that one accomplishes in painting." Our inventory is constantly changing and we request that you contact the nearest Fingerhut Gallery location for current availability. |
